Objective

Play More Gamez takes place in a world where tabletop gaming has been marginalized.  It is up to the mighty few still loyal to the hobby to bring the activity into the spotlight where it belongs.  In order to win, players of Play More Gamez must bring about the following changes in parts of the world they control.

 

• Existing gamers come to the table on a regular basis.
• Lapsed gamers begin to play again.
• New gamers to take up the hobby.

Set Up

To make the most of your Play More Gamez experience, we suggest you spend your first turn completing the following actions.

• Complete your profile. Don't forget to include your personalized gamer icon.
• Add yourself to the Gamer Map.
• Invite your gamer friends to join the site 
• Join the Play More Gamez group.
• Post your first status message.

 

Power Gamers may also take a bonus action:

Start a new group. If you host a "real life" gaming group, own a gaming store, or have a fanatical love for a particular game or type of gaming, forming a group is a great way to stay connected to your peeps--and meet new ones.

 

Available Actions

 

Each time you come to the site you can take the following actions as many times as you like.

• Create your character  Sometimes you want to play with people you already know and sometimes you want to make new gaming friends. You’ll have much better luck with the “make new friends” part after you take the complete your profile action.
• Join (or start) a Party  An experienced gamer never goes it alone. Use the group action to find the droids gamers you are looking for.
• Schedule a quest  Even the most dedicated of gamers occasionally has other stuff to do. Schedule your next gaming adventure using the event action to make sure life’s distractions don’t mean you end up facing the dragon without your Paladin.
• Engage in Table Talk  Table talk may be frowned upon where you play, but here it’s encouraged. Give a shout out to your fellow gamers using the status update action. Can’t make your point in 140 characters? Try the blog action instead.
• Build your Deck  Not loving the current gamer options? Expand the gamer pool by taking the invite friends action or the spread the word via Facebook and/or Twitter action.
• Play a Game  Log off the website and go play already! Just be sure and come back to celebrate and/or lick your wounds when you are finished.
• Celebrate and/or lick your wounds  Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. In either case there is often a story. Use the blog  and/or photo action to help the memory live on.

 

Illegal Moves

Play More Gamez is cooperative* so in order to win we all have to work together to make the site awesome. The following actions do not support a spirit of community and are therefore not allowed.

No Spam  The content you share on PlayMoreGamez.com should be of direct benefit to other gamers (where benefit is defined as helpful, interesting, insightful, or funny.)  If a post does not meet those criteria it may be deleted by the administrators. If a member consistently posts spammy messages he/she will be banned from the community.

Note: This is a gaming website so posts about the non-gaming aspects of your life should be few and far between.

No Bullying Posts that are mean, threatening, especially condescending or just plain nasty will be removed. Users who are unable to refrain from bullying will be banned from the community.

 

Victory Conditions

The Play More Gamez community wins when its members earn a total of 50,000 victory points for the actions listed below.

• New community member--10 points
• New group--15 points
• New event--10 points
• Proof of Gaming--1 point per public photo.**
• New Facebook "liker"-- 5 points
• New Twitter fan-- 3 points

The game ends*** on the last day of the month in which the community reaches the 50,000 points mark.

 

Individual Winners
In addition to the group win, each month’s “top gamer,” as determined by the site’s leaderboard on the last day of each month will earn an entry in the Play More Gamez Hero Challenge.  As part of the victory celebration the site's official hero will be randomly chosen from the pool of eligible contestants.  Said hero will be awarded fabulous, yet to be determined prizes as well as site-wide glory.

Each month’s top gamer and the current community score, will be announced in the Play More Gamez group on the last day of each month.
